BRECKSVILLE WINS AAU JUNIOR OLYMPIC NATIONAL TITLE!

The Brecksville High School wrestling team traveled to Greensboro, North Carolina to compete in the 2019 AAU Freestyle Junior Olympic games.  The event is made up of state teams and club teams from around the country.

Team Brecksville dominated the field to finish a perfect 10-0 and take home their second team national title in the past three years and third overall national title. Team Brecksville finished with 6 individual All-Americans.  All-Americans included:

106# Gold medalist - Pito Castro
113# Silver medalist - Kaden Jett
132# Gold medalist - Jimmy Carmany
138# Silver medalist - Kael Voinovich
152# Gold medalist - Victor Voinovich 
220# Gold medalist - Ethan Hatcher

Ethan Hatcher was also named the Junior Olympics most outstanding wrestlers.  Hatcher becomes the third wrestler in Brecksville history to win this prestigious award (Austin Assad, Andrew Perelka).
